Elizabeth Reyes
|
Born and raised in California Elizabeth’s first language was Spanish. Her mother was born in El Paso, Tx and her father in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. He maternal grandmother was a great influence in teaching her the value of Mexican tradition.
Her childhood memories are of Elizabeth watching her grandmother make traditional Mexican cuisine, and let’s not forget the tortillas, for the whole family. Mexican ice cream to sell in her candy store, that was in the living room of her grandmother’s house, is just a few of the best childhood memories that resonate in her passion for food. Food brought the family together which gave Elizabeth a great sense of community and tradition. Food is what ties us all together no matter what part of the world you are from and at that moment we all speak the same language. The passion and love of food brings everyone together and that is what Elizabeth’s goals are with these tours. So come and join us in a few hours of tradition and culture. |
